Yes! It is completely free for anyone (artist or fan) to make an account on TempoTrader and start using the site.
Fans only have to pay if they want to buy Tempos. You could be a fan who only follows musicians, in which case you would never have to spend a cent on TempoTrader.
Artists never have to pay. TempoTrader is a tool for musicians to increase their income, not spend it.
- Can I make money on TempoTrader?
Yes you can. How you do it depends on whether you are an artist or a fan.
Artists make money on TempoTrader by selling Tempos to their fans. They keep 100% of the revenue from the sale. Artists also make a 4% commission every time on of their fans sells their Tempo to another fan.
Fans can both make money and lose money. Remember, the market price of a Tempo will change over time depending on how much people are willing to pay for them. This will depend on the amount of content artists offer, how popular they are, and how much support they have. If you buy a Tempo and then sell it for more than you bought it, you keep the difference. If Tempo price goes down, you may lose some or all of the initial money you boughw with, depending on when you sell.
- What is a Tempo?
A Tempo is a tradable subscription that gives fans access to private music that an artist posts on TempoTrader. Each artist sells their own Tempos to fans.
When a fan buys an artist’s Tempo, they will get access to private music that the artist posts and be able to leave feedback through comments.
Fans can also sell Tempos to other fans, making them tradable. The price of an artist’s Tempo will change over time depending on the demand for that Tempo.

The price of a Tempo is displayed on an artist's profile. If you own a Tempo, you can also see the price from your portfolio.
Tempo owners can put their Tempos on sale at a price they choose. The lowest price that a Tempo is on sale for is the displayed Tempo price.
- How do Tempo Prices Fall?

- How does TempoTrader make money?
Every time a Tempo is traded, there is a 5% fee charged to the buyer as a commission.
Artists get 4%.
We take the other 1% to fund the project. All the money that artists raise from selling Tempos is theirs, all the money that artists collect from commissions is theirs.
